waking up for fajr

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Assalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatuh اللهم صل على محمد وآل محمد

Assalam o Alikum

Waking up for Fajr is one of the most beautiful acts of worship and one of the most difficult. Even the Prophet PBUH told us that Fajr and Isha are the hardest prayers for the heart that has not fully tasted their reward. When you leave sleep for the sake of Allah, you are choosing love over comfort.

But the struggle often begins before we even close our eyes. The last thing our hearts see at night affects how they feel in the morning. If our eyes are glued to our phones, how can we expect our minds to rest and our souls to wake peacefully? Screens fill our hearts with noise, while the Prophet PBUH filled his nights with wudu, Ayatul Kursi, and quiet dhikr. That is why he slept with peace and rose with strength.

Sometimes waking up for Fajr is not about alarms, it is about preparation. Sleep with dhikr, end your night with Quran, and ask Allah sincerely to wake you. Even if you only manage it a few times a week, every effort counts.

Your sister,

Sana Kamran
